Abstract
- The article focuses on the Hague Repowering Project of E.ON AG, which won the 2009 Marmaduke Award for Excellence in Operation & Maintenance, presented by the journal "Power." It is stated that the century-old combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Hague, the Netherlands, was unable to provide satisfactory performance. Hence, it was repowered with low-emissions electricity generator to improve efficiency. Allocation of new turbines, steam engines, and generators are some of the highlights.
