- Analyzes the tripartite struggle for political power among the townsmen, the nobility and the church which occurred in the cortes/parliament of 1295 over the reign of Fernando IV in the Kingdom of Castile-Leon. Status of politics in the Kingdom of Castile-Leon at the inception of the reign of Fernando IV; Role of Maria de Molina, Fernando IV's mother in the consolidation of his position as king; Prejudices of the townsmen on the nobility and the clergy.
