Abstract
- The article focuses on the planned launching of Bavarian Motor Works' (BMW) turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the Z4 sports car. The 1 Series M which was supposed to carry the engine will reportedly not be available until 2012. It is stated that BMW used the 2.0-liter gas direct-injection four with 170 horsepower and 155 pound-feet as basis for its turbo four. The car's projected weight of less than 2900 pounds is also given.
