Abstract
- The article focuses on the possible financial effects of golfer Tiger Woods' absence from the PGA Tour following a scandal in which he admitted to frequent extramarital affairs. Television ratings for golf tournament fells sharply when Woods missed much of the 2008 season with a knee injury. The sport, which stresses values of personal integrity and sportsmanship, will face a marketing problem with its biggest star involved in such a scandal.
