Armenia: School for Scandal.

The article reports on the prosecution of activist, Mariam Sukhudyan, for protesting against physical and sexual abuse faced by children at an Armenian school for the disabled. Sukhudyan was alleged to have defamed a Soviet-era boarding school for disabled in Yerevan, Armenia, which could mean a three-year imprisonment with a fine of 260 to 1,300 dollars. It is stated that Sukhudyan was also lured by the government to admit guilty, but she refused to do so.
