Abstract

The article explores the phylogeography of the Rufous-naped Wren or Campylorhynchus rufinucha in the dry forests of Mesoamerica based on the study conducted by the authors. About 35 unique haplotypes were discovered in 128 Rufous-naped Wrens. The highest haplotype diversity was found in Guatemala. Genetic differentiation was 67% among populations within forms, including intermixed populations from Guatemala and Laguna La Joya.
