Abstract

The article discusses a study on the crystal and molecular structures of copper(II) succinate complexes with 1,2-di-4-pyridylethane and 1,3-di-4-pyridylpropane. Bis-bidentate succinate groups doubly bridged the dicopper units of the polymeric structures of the metal-organic compounds. The second compound is characterized by a double lattice constant and noncentrosymmetric core units. Also noted is the detection of spin triplet signals for both compounds in the electron paramagnetic resonance spectra.
