Abstract

Aerial pipes endure complex loads due to effect of the internal pressure, the gravity factor, the exploitation and environmental condition, so on. Hence, the pipe durability is greatly affected by all this factors. in this paper is presented the way in which pipe durability is affected by the bearing dynamical force generated on the pipe due to the air vortexs made behind the pipe when the wind intensity is adequate. Estimation of the pipe durability it is define as approximation of the number of loading cycles by bending till the crack penetrate the pipe wall. Therewith, the obtained durability it is given also in lifetime hours. The numerical determinations were done for different transversal pipe section, for different values of the wind speed and pipe length between two supports. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
