The Natural Endocast of Taung (Australopithecus africanus): Insights From the Unpublished Papers of Raymond Arthur Dart.

The article presents a study which examines the natural endocast of Australopithecus africanus "Taung" in the context of Raymond Dart's perspectives based on his unpublished observations and illustrations from 1925-1929. It explores several issues related to the identities of lunate sulcus and luci and sutures to give light to the concept of A. africanus. Dart asserts that Taung's brain was reorganized globally and that it was closer to brain of Pithecanthropus compared to the living apes.
