Abstract
- The article discusses the results of a study on the year-round movements of two cohorts of juvenile Golden Eagles from Denali National Park and Preserve in Alaska. The study found that the eagles exhibited little fidelity to their autumn migration paths as they migrated northwest in spring through western Canada and into Alaska. Cumulative tracking distances were high during spring migration reaching a peak of 284 filometer (km) a day in 1998 and 330 km a day in 2000.
