Expenditure on Education in Rural Communes within the Impact Zone of the Szczecin Metropolitan Area.

The problem of financing education in rural communes is a very important issue from the point of view of general development of the information society, since the quality of education is a prerequisite for the implementation of knowledge-based economy. The increase of investments in education is a fundamental measure of poverty prevention, whereas its consequences are being manifested, among others, in the sphere of absorption possibilities of the educational system. The study covered the expenditure on education in rural communes for which the impact of Szczecin as a metropolis is significant from the point of view of accomplishing selected metropolitan functions of the Szczecin Metropolitan Area within the area of these communes.
