Abstract

The article discusses the impact on the PGA Tour of golfer Tiger Woods' self-imposed exile due to extramarital adventures. Woods has been a huge attraction for corporate sponsors, and the Tour could suffer financially in his absence. The amount paid by Farmers Insurance Group in 2010 to sponsor a PGA event in San Diego, California was less than half the sponsorship fee paid in 2009, when Woods participated.
