In this article the author examines weaknesses in U.S. foreign policy under the administration of U.S. President Barack Obama. He expresses a belief that the aggressive policies of former U.S. President George W. Bush have led Obama to be overly cautious in his support of democratic values. He suggests that the U.S. must better vocalize its support for election protests in Iran, its disdain for human rights violations in China, and its humanitarian reasons for continuing the war in Afghanistan.
