Abstract

The article presents a study which seeks to correlate clinical events such as surgery and death with the growth rate of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs). Several factors that contribute to the prevalence of the disease including hypertension, hypercholesterolaemia, and diabetes are taken into consideration. It mentions that a growth rate of at least 2 millimeters annually posed significant connections with clinical events. Moreover, the study has recorded a bimodal growth pattern for AAA.
