Abstract
- New Yorkers can be quite creative when they want to put their affection into words. Some leave Post-it notes on the bathroom mirror. Some take out billboards in Times Square. Those still racking their brains for the perfect way to say ''I love you'' this Valentine's Day can take a cue from the memorable expressions of love left behind by famous New Yorkers. ''The frankest and freest product of the human mind and heart is a love letter,'' Mark Twain once wrote. ''The writer gets his limitless freedom of statement and expression from his sense that no stranger is going to see what he is writing.'' [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
