Alarm grows over management of antibiotic resistance file.

The article reports on the frustration of experts concerning the failure of federal government of Canada to establish immediately a Canadian Center for Antimicrobial Resistance. Experts claim the need of the center since the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) disbanded the Canadian Committee on Antimicrobial Resistance (CCAR). According to Dr. John Conly, head of the department of medicine at the University of Calgary, he was worried that PHAC's silence would mean its end.
