Abstract

The article focuses on the contention of Girls' Schools Association (GSA) president Gillian Low concerning the plan of Tory Party to develop state-funded independent free schools in Great Britain. Low argues that the plan could increase educational divisions and could fail to offer genuine choice for parents. Low asserts that the project it is not the solution to educational problems and cites that although GSA members are interested in helping it, they remain sceptical on the actual practice.
