Abstract

The article discusses the studies on the use of cytotoxic agents and monoclonal antibodies in combination of chemotherapy for treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer. Studies include the use of bevacizumab, cetuximab, and panitumumab against epidermal growth factor receptors. It says that the results of Bevacizumab Regimens Investigation of Treatment Effects and Safety (BRiTE) study suggest the use of bevacizumab as an alternative for metastatic colorectal cancer treatment.
