Abstract

In this article, the author comments on articles "Low-Frequency Nonnucleoside Reverse-Transcriptase Inhibitor (NNRTI)-Resistance Variants Contribute to Failure of Efavirenz-Containing Regimens in Treatment-Experienced Patients," and "Pre-existing Minority Drug-Resistant HIV-1 Variants, Adherence, and Risk of Antiretroviral Treatment Failure." He believes that NNRTI is not detected by bulk sequencing. He adds that results will be beneficial for patient management.
