Abstract

The article examines the factors that caused the downfall of top fund management firms in 1999. It states that most fund companies like IPS, Berkshire Focus, and Thurlow Growth lost millions of dollars in investments after the dot-com bubble of 1999. In retrospect, majority of fund companies attribute their failure to an obsession with overpriced technology stocks, lack of experience, employing untested strategies, and investing too much money, too quickly.
