Abstract

The article focuses on agriculture in the U.S. and its potential role in climate change mitigation through carbon (C ) sequestration. It mentions that agriculture contributes to climate change through exchanges of greenhouse gases (GHG) in the atmosphere. It discusses the soil organic carbon (SOC) Pool and soil inorganic carbon (SIC) Pool as the two strategies of carbon sequestration in soil. It discloses the value of scaling and monitoring methodologies in implementing climate change policies.
