Abstract
- The article discusses a study which investigated the effects of antihypertensive-drug class on interindividual variation in blood pressure and risk of stroke. The researchers identified randomised controlled trials (RCT) from published systematic reviews and searched Medline and Cochrane databases from 1950 to first week of July 2009. Poor reporting of interindividual variation in blood pressure in RCT of antihypertensive drugs was found. Several issues that need to be discussed are also cited, including the low rate of reporting of blood pressure.
