Abstract
- WASHINGTON -- President Obama signed a jobs bill into law on Thursday, but declared that the measure, which is intended to spur employment by providing businesses incentives to hire new workers, ''is by no means enough.'' Mr. Obama appeared in the Rose Garden to sign the measure, which passed the Senate Wednesday by a vote of 68 to 29, a rare example of bipartisan support in a capital that has become bitterly divided over Mr. Obama's health care overhaul. The president said he was pleased that more than a dozen Republicans ''were willing to break out of the partisan morass'' in Washington to vote for the bill. [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
