Abstract
- The article focuses on the worry of E Ink Corp., maker of the Vizplex technology for electronic book readers. The critical issue for E Ink is that whether the "green" electronic paper can be replaced by Apple's iPad tablet that sacrifices the readability of an electronic paper but offers higher refresh rates and full color. Richard Doherty, principal analyst at Envisioneering, says that if Apple iPads can give 10 hours of battery life it can solve the disadvantages of electrophoretic displays.
