Abstract
- This article presents information about the highest paid chief executives in the world and how their pay was affected by the world economy. Ray R. Irani of Occidental Petroleum was the highest paid and his pay increased in 2009. Robert A. Iger of the Walt Disney Co. saw his salary reduced by more than 50 percent in 2009 while Jay S. Fishman of Travelers Group Inc. increased his pay by more than 50 percent in 2009.
