Abstract

A biography of Marta Kutas, a cognitive psychophysiologist, is presented. She was born in Hungary and later settled in Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended Oberlin College and selected a psychology major over graphic arts. She obtained her doctoral degree under Dr. Emanuel Donchin who established one of the first cognitive event-related brain potential laboratories in the world in University of Illinois. Kutas received the Award for Distinguished Contributions to Psychophysiology in 2007.
