Abstract

The article discusses a study on the ability of acoustic streaming to distinguish endometriomas from other adnexal masses. The study uses the data gathered from 1938 patients who have adnexal mass and were examined using Doppler and transvaginal gray-scale ultrasound after undergoing a standardized research protocol. The results show that acoustic streaming is not a reliable method in differentiating endometriomas from other types of adnexal lesions.
