Abstract

The article focuses on the meaning of efficiency in power plants. It states that to calculate the thermal energy of power plants, electricity produced should be divided by how much fuel has been consumed. It discusses the first law of thermodynamics. The second law of thermodynamics is related to "rational efficiency." It highlights that Vattenfall AB has misused many terms in calculating its efficiency.
