Abstract: The article reports that U.S. federal judge James V. Selna of Santa Ana, California has been appointed to hear the several dozen federal lawsuits filed against Toyota Motor Co. in connection with allegations that certain of its vehicles were prone to unintended acceleration. Selna has previously presided over several complex cases including one involving patent infringement between Qualcomm Inc. and Broadcom Corp.
