Abstract

The article focuses on the findings of the English and Romanian Adoptee (ERA) study, which was conducted to detect the deprivation-specific psychological patterns (DSPs) in children upto age 15 years. It mentions the names of four presumed DSPs which are quasi-autistic (Q-A) patterns, disinhibited attachment (DA), inattenttion/overactivity (I/O) and cognitive impairment (CI). It further discusses the validity of the presumed DSPs. It suggests that the an investigation should be done to determine which phases of DSPs are precise to institutional deprivation. It concudes that the four DSPs are caused due to institutional deprivation.
