Abstract

This paper aims at researching on the use and value of the class observation registry in the context of continuous teacher training. In order to do so, we have acquired experience in training teachers in service which we will consider as a "reference case": The "Specialization in Language and Literature Didactics", a training process carried out in Tandil between 1999 and 2002 in the context of an agreement between the City Hall of Tandil and the Universidad Nacional del Centro de la Provincia de Buenos Aires. This paper releases some advances on one of the sources of information: the semi-structured interviews conducted on teachers that finished the continuous training process, as well as those who abandoned it. On one hand, it is interesting to orient reflections towards the conditions under which teachers consider that the use of class observation registers promotes meaningful learning, and, on the other hand, towards the subsequent relation with the class observational registry, fundamentally in the teachers that abandoned the training process.
