LA ENSEÑANZA JURÍDICA EN LA UNiVERSIDAD FRENTE A LAS REFORMAS EN EL PODER JUDICIAL.

This paper presents the preliminary outcomes of a long-term research project on legal education at the University. The analysis focuses on the reforms made in the judiciary of the province of Cordoba and the challenges they pose to the legal training of future lawyers at the University. In this paper we analyze only one of these reforms: the system of staff members for the criminal court of the City of Cordoba selection introduced by the province High Court. Considering the opinions of the core actors of the judiciary affected by these measures, we comment on their evaluation of the how the legal training they received at the University prepared them for the demands posed by the new system of selection. We also reflect upon the future perspectives the new context poses to the institutions of higher education, in terms of professional training in the field of law. We worked on the basis of a qualitative research, which included an analysis of the norms that regulate the reforms, and the opinions of the professionals affected by them. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
