Abstract
- In this article the author discusses an art gallery and bookstore which was created to help successfully integrate military veterans and civilians with traumatic brain injury (TBI) back into the community. Many veterans returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan have experienced a TBI and Virginia NeuroCare (VANC) and its art gallery and used bookstore called Paintings and Prose have been helping veterans and civilians with TBI reacquire the skills and confidence to reenter the workforce.
