Abstract

The article discusses the study which examines the changes in the implementation of the HIV Antiretroviral Resistance Testing in a large group of HIV patients in the U.S. from 1999 to 2006. It reviews the clinical data among HIV outpatients who are eligible in genotypic and phenotypic resistance testing (GPT). It implies that the yearly frequency of GPT has increased almost three times from the 1999 testing data including sex, race, and ethnicity.
