Abstract
- The article focuses on the efforts of Mazin Qumsiyeh, president of the Palestinian Centre for Rapprochment, to explain the origin and practice of nonviolent Palestinian resistance. He stated that he discovered several things about Israel/Palestine territory conflict while compiling his book entitled "Hope and Empowerment: A History of Popular Resistance in Palestine." He explained that the first resistance against Zionist settlement was in 1880 while violent resistance started in the 1920s after British authorities shoot several unarmed demonstrators.
