Abstract

The article considers the expanding home demolition operations carried out by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank, Bedouin village of al-Araqib in the Negev desert in April 2010. Palestinian homeowners in Dhammash village, the oldest continuously-inhabited places in the Middle East, received demolition orders on April 12. It is said that about 600 Palestinians are living in Dhammash. Regular home demolitions and a lack of basic services are facing residents of so-called unrecognized villages throughout the state of Israel.
