WAR AND REMEMBRANCE.

In this article the author describes the importance of remembering that the U.S. is at war in both Afghanistan and Iraq. The author refers to Herman Wouk's books "The Winds of War" and "War and Remembrance" and describes how in the U.S. people tend to hardly acknowledge that the country has been fighting two ongoing wars since the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terror attacks in New York City, New York. He argues that in order to ensure a future peace, America's wars need to remain on the forefront of the nation's consciousness.
