Abstract
- The article discusses the burgeoning use by Great Britain's teenagers of the drug mephedrone, characterized as a legal high, but outlawed after the deaths of 2 teenagers who reportedly used it. The article discusses the criminalization of mephedrone use and the seeming lack of information on the drug's origins and physiological effects. Mephedrone is said to be a synthetic version of the herbal amphetamine cathinone.
