Abstract

The article presents a study which examines the degree of epidural decompression of metastatic epidural compression (MEC) by spine radiosurgery. The study diagnosed epidural compression through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans and performed spine radiosurgery. Results indicate that neurological function of the patients after radiosurgical decompression had improved to 81%. It concludes that radiosurgical decompression can be a good option for malignant epidural compression treatment.
