Abstract

The article discusses the effect of the results of the general elections in Great Britain to the occupational health (OH) practitioners. It cites that a victory by the Labour Party could mean a continuous implementation of the programs that are already in existence or being piloted until 2011. In its Healthier Nation Green Paper, the Conservative party cited that it could introduce tax breaks for employers which invested in workplace health and OH. The plans of the liberal Democrats, the Scottish National Party and the Plaid Cymru are also cited.
