Abstract
- The article reports on Boocoo Auctions, a national newspaper auction network to be launched in May 2010 by Augusta, Georgia-based company Ranger Data Technologies. Under the auction system, newspapers will be given a split of the transaction fee upon bringing bidders and sellers together. Based on the Boocoo Auctions business model, individual ZIP codes will be licensed to participating newspapers or another medium in the market to solve the problem of how to divide revenue. Ranger Data plans to add features to the auction system after the launch.
