Abstract
- This article reports that the United States Air Force has closed the gap for the number of fighter planes that it requires. This result was not achieved by purchasing more planes, but it is the result of a planned purchase of a smaller number of Lockheed Martin F-35 Joint Strike Fighters, planes that have more capability than the planes they will replace.
