Abstract
- The article focuses on the efforts of the U.S. government to address the issue of disposal of spent nuclear fuel and radioactive wastes from the closed nuclear Yucca Mountain project in Nevada. It mentions the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has filed a motion with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission withdrawing its pending license application for a high-level nuclear waste depository at Yucca Mountain.
