Abstract
- The author reflects on health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in the U.S. He states that assessing changes in HRQoL allows health personnel to measure a more comprehensive outcome that reflects a patient. He cites that HRQoL has been used as predicator of outcomes, specially survival, in patients with coronary heart disease. He cites that health personnel must incorporate measure of HRQoL to their clinical research designs to analyze composite outcomes relevant to the patient's perspective
