Abstract
- We show that the nilpotency of the metacyclic subgroups of a hypercyclic group implies the hypercentrality of the whole group. We also construct a center-free metabelian group all of whose polycyclic subgroups are abelian. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
