Abstract
- The article features Qantas chief executive officer (CEO) Alan Joyce. Joyce shares his insights on managing Qantas through the key principles of flexibility and adaptability. Joyce was born in Dublin, Ireland to a working class family and began working for Irish airline, Aer Lingus after graduating with a mathematics degree in Trinity College. For his main goal, Joyce expects Qantas to continue to improve its profits despite competition from Virgin Airlines and Tiger Airways.
