Abstract
- The article introduces a series of articles which feature several plant managers and operations executives who lost their jobs due to consolidations and closings within the newspaper industry. They include Dick Malone who worked as a plant manager for the Chicago Tribune, Sherry Gryder who is a former plant manager for the Washington Post, Kelly Benson who was operations manager for Tribune Co. and Robin Shank who used to be operations manager for Dow Jones & Co.
