Abstract

BOGOTA, Colombia -- Reaching out to the two countries that voted against new sanctions on Iran, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Wednesday that she thought Brazil and Turkey would continue to play an important role in diplomatic efforts with the Iranian government. ''We disagreed with their vote,'' Mrs. Clinton said to reporters in Colombia, where she was on a four-day swing through Latin America. ''But I can understand from a diplomatic perspective why they might be able to make a convincing case for how they voted today.'' [ABSTRACT FROM PUBLISHER]
