Abstract
- The article highlights the seismic observations made at the Syowa Station in Antarctica in 2006. The observations were maintained throughout the season of the 47th Japanese Research Expedition (JARE-47). The two types of seismometers that have been used for the seismic observations were the short-period seismometer (HES) and the three-component broadband seismometer with digital recording system. The digitization of the three-component analogue outputs by HES was done by sampling frequency by a 24-bit analog-to-digital (A/D) converter, generation of triggered signals of 80 and 1 hertz and 20 hertz continuous output.
