Parent-mediated communication-focused treatment in children with autism (PACT): a randomised controlled trial.

The article discusses a study which investigated the efficacy of early interventions for social communication in the treatment of autism in children in a larger trial. The study involved 152 children with core autism who were assigned to a parent-mediated communication-focused intervention or treatment at several specialist centres in Great Britain. The researchers did not recommend the inclusion of Preschool Autism Communication Trial (PACT) intervention to treatment for the reduction of autism symptoms.
